Why is Rani Mukherjee insecure?

Never mind if it’s a lazy Saturday for others, a gal has to toil for her daily caviar. It was a jasoos from Juhu with some ‘breaking news’. I can’t claim to be as pleased as he.. nor will the gorgeous Asin.

So, aaj ki taaza khabar is that the Asin, the talk of tinsel town after Ghajini, won’t feature in Yash Raj’s project toplining Shah Rukh Khan. She was supposed to have replaced Katrina Kaif.. she was out of reckoning after Salman Khan’s war of words with SRK at her janam din bash last year.

Seems Rani Mukherji, who has plenty of time to spare considering she’s acting only in Aditya Chopra’s productions, has apparently brainwashed him into dropping Asin.

Apparently, the self-proclaimed Queen at YRF has no problems with cute Kat.. or Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone. Reason they are hooked and booked. But she doesn’t want a single siren anywhere near her Adi. Kyun, kyun?

Kyunki, jasoos says, Rani wasn’t pleased with the attention Adi bhai was showering on Anoushka Sharma during the making of Rab ne Bana di Jodi. And despite a three-film contract, has ensured that Anoushka doesn’t figure in any of Yashraj’s forthcoming movies. Such insecurity, I tell you. Look at me, I’ve let my silver-bearded Vyjjy run loose and yet he keeps running back to me.

Keep them waiting
Aah.. how equations change.. more so in our matlab ki movie nagariya. Bharat Shah will agree. He’s feeling really letdown by Salman Khan’s royal ignore. And to think that at one time this heera merchant had invested in Sallu’s films.
Suna hai Bharat bhai had not only personally invited the star for son Rajeev’s wedding reception at the Turf Club on Thursday night.. but had also requested him to “please be there”.

He even sent him a few reminder calls. But Sallu who is shooting for London Dreams in Karjat, didn’t take any of them. Seems he made his staff answer them for him and assure the financier-producer that ‘bhai’ would be at the reception.
It was only past the midnight hour that Shah admitted to himself that Salman wasn’t going to show up. Sob, sob!

Not again
Now, here’s Mottu with some andar ki baat about the Khan household. She claims to know why Malaika Arora Khan was conspicuously absent by hubby Arbaaz’s side at the premiere of his Mere Khwaabon Mein Jo Aaye at a Juhu multiplex the other night.

According to Mots, Malaika attended a trial show of the movie at Adlabs in Film City last week.. and wasn’t exactly pleased with the way Arboo’s role had shaped up.

So, Malaika told hubby she wasn’t going to walk into this premiere on his arm. As a result, bechara Arbaaz had to go solo and put on a brave face. Tsk tsk.

Traffic director too
How I wish I had been around to see this for myself! A birdy from Bandra dropped by to tell me that she spotted Kunal Kohli driving out from Bandstand.

According to tweety, the director was in a mad rush to get somewhere and honking loudly when stuck in a traffic jam.

Seeing no one care about the hoot toots, Kohli stepped out of his car and started directing the traffic himself.

After 15 odd minutes of instructing, the cars started moving. A relieved Kohli got back in and zoomed off before my birdy could compliment his traffic directing skills. But then, such is life dearies.

Rani’s bungalow unlucky for her?

Rani Mukherji Rani Mukerji's career is in doldrums. In recent times, she has delivered many flops. She now believes that her bungalow in Juhu is jinxed. Her astrologer has suggested her that she shift out of the house for the time being. Rani is now looking to buy a flat for herself in Versova, Andheri and will be shifting there soon.

Our source says, "Rani Mukerji shifted to her bungalow early last year. However, her career has seen a downslide ever since she bought it. All her films have failed and her astrologer has suggested that the new bungalow might not be working for her. The astrologer also reasoned that ever since she invested in the bungalow, her films have flopped - from Babul to Laaga Chunri Mein Daag to Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic.

“The only film Rani has on hand, the YRF film about cricket is also in the news more for its problems than for anything creative. Moreover she has lost out on many projects outside Yash Raj Films and no one has offered her substantial films recently. That's the reason Rani is looking out for a flat in Versova. Rani wanted to shift into her old house in Versova but that has already been rented out. This leaves Rani with no choice but to look for another house for herself."

Asin invites wrath of jealous Rani

Asin became the toast of the town after Ghajini released and that hasn’t gone down well with many senior actresses.

Asin was offered a Yash Raj film opposite Shah Rukh Khan after Katrina Kaif refused to do it, probably because beau Salman Khan would not have liked her working with SRK. Alas, Kat’s loss couldn’t become Asin’s gain because reportedly,

Rani Mukherji, the uncrowned queen of Yash Raj Films ( YRF), didn’t like the fact that Asin was being given a chance instead of her. So, Rani made her point clear to Aditya Chopra, who finally gave in to her tantrums and so, Asin lost out on a plum role because of her.

But Asin is not the only one who invited Rani’s wrath.

Anoushka Sharma is another Rani victim as she hasn’t got a single film after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, even though she has a three- film contract with YRF.
